Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 to an incredibly musical family from Newark New Jersey is the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of singer Dionne Warwick. She began singing in the choir of the church she attended The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when she was a child and by the age of 15, she had begun singing backing vocals professionally with her mother on Chaka Khans 1978 hit Im Every Woman. Then, she performed backing vocals to Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and even her mother. She began working as a lead vocalist with the band from New York called Material in the year 1981. The album itself sold 3 million copies in its initial year in the US and then went on to achieve a worldwide sales of 25 million, earning her the first of her six Grammys. Whitney, her album Whitney, released in 1987, and featuring the hit singles Where Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. It came with The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as the top selling album in music. Though the movie was not highly appreciated and neither was her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You reached the number one spot on both singles and albums charts across the US for months. She sold 44,000,000 copies. In 1993, it was also that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition musician who gave the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. The beginning of her addiction to drugs came around this time and, in 1996, she'd been a frequent user.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she works for CNN as anchorwoman, reporter and political reporter. She hosted a variety of weekend programs on the network, which include Evans & Novak: Late Edition" and Inside Politics." She worked previously for NBC and CBS.
