Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived to a musical family 9 August 1993 in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the daughter and cousin to singing superstar Dionne. The mother of Whitney Houston and her daughter began to sing professionally together at New Hope Baptist Church of Newark in the year Whitney was just 15 years old. They performed the back vocals on Chaka Khans 1978 track Im Every Woman. She went on to provide backing vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls as well as her own mother. She also did a brief stint as models on the cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. The year 1981 saw her begin singing in the New York funk group Material. The band's excellent vocals of this group that attracted notice of major record companies like Arista. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut album for an artist in 1985. From the album, she came out with several hits like Saving all My Love for You How Are You Going to Know If You're a Good Person and The Greatest Love of All. This led to her achieving seven US number one hits in a row. She beat even the Beatles. Album was sold out in US 3,000,000 copies, and later increased to 25 million globally. The album brought her first of her 6 Grammy Awards. The album that followed it in 1987 Whitney that included hits The Place Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built the foundation of her popularity, however it was her 1992 movie The Bodyguard (1992) that established her as one of the top-selling performers in history. Although her performance in the film and soundtrack was not well-received however, the Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You and the accompanying album topped charts around the globe for months. Also in 1993 when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist who gave her only child Bobbi Kristina Brown. At this point that her much documented drug use began and by 1996, she was a regular user.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchorwoman and reporter for the political section of CNN. She has also produced several of the network's Saturday shows such for instance Evans & Novak' Late Edition' and Inside Politics.' She also worked with other well-known channels before, including NBC and CBS. Bash has been awarded the Women in Washington Power List honor in Elle magazine. Numerous young journalists admire her for having incredible reporting/anchoring skills. In her personal life the graduate from George Washington University is a loving mother to her sole son. She's been married twice. Her current relationship is not formal. Bash is an independent, strong woman. She loves her fans.
